DAR ES SALAAM: The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (KKKT) Mbezi Beach Parish has launched a mobile application, Yesu Kristo Mponyaji (Jesus Christ the Healer), as part of efforts to expand Christian evangelism through digital platforms and reach more believers and the wider public.

Launching the application in Dar es Salaam, the parish’s Pastor, Allen Misso, said the rapid growth in the use of smartphones and other digital devices had made technology an important tool for spreading the Gospel.

He said the application enables users to access and study the teachings of Jesus Christ the Healer anytime and from anywhere.

“Today, many people live in the digital world. We want mobile phones to be more than communication tools by making them a platform for learning the Good News of Jesus Christ,” he said.

Alongside the app launch, Pastor Misso also unveiled a book titled Yesu Kristo Mponyaji, saying proceeds from its sales will be used to strengthen evangelism activities across the country.

He said the funds will support the purchase of evangelism equipment, including guitars, microphones, generators and other tools needed to spread the Gospel in different communities.

According to Misso, the book is intended to help readers understand Jesus Christ not only as the Saviour but also as the Healer.

Meanwhile, the sponsor of Tumaini University and coordinator of KKKT Digital, Jofrey Kilimba, said the digital platform will make Christian teachings more accessible to people both within and outside Tanzania.

He said the technology will enable believers and members of the public to study the Word of God conveniently from their homes, workplaces and other locations using electronic devices.
