K.O’s Record-Breaking Hit “Sete” Reaches Another Massive Spotify Milestone. K.O has added another remarkable achievement to his decorated career after his smash hit “Sete” officially surpassed 33 million streams on Spotify, making it the most-streamed song of his career on the platform.

The milestone was confirmed by The Table Chart, which announced that the chart-topping anthem had become the first song in Mr Cash Time’s catalogue to reach the 33 million streaming mark on Spotify.
Featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie, “Sete” was released in 2022 as part of K.O’s acclaimed album SR3. Since its arrival, the song has grown into one of South Africa’s defining hits of the decade, dominating radio, streaming platforms, dance floors and social media with its infectious chorus and feel-good energy.
The record quickly became a cultural phenomenon, earning multiple accolades along the way. It achieved 10x Platinum certification, swept major honours at the South African Music Awards, including Song of the Year and Best Collaboration, and famously spent a record-breaking 20 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on local radio charts.
The success of “Sete” extended beyond South Africa when K.O enlisted Diamond Platnumz and Oxlade for the official remix. The collaboration introduced the anthem to even wider audiences across Africa while preserving the signature skhanda sound that has become synonymous with K.O’s artistry.
For K.O, born Ntokozo Mdluli, the latest streaming milestone is another reminder of his longevity in an ever-changing music landscape. From his early days as a member of Teargas to building Cashtime Life into one of South African hip hop’s most influential brands, he has consistently reinvented himself while delivering chart success.
Although his catalogue includes fan favourites from projects such as Skhanda Republic, PTY UNLTD and the more recent Phara City, it is “Sete” that has emerged as his biggest streaming success to date, continuing to attract listeners nearly four years after its release.
The achievement also highlights the growing importance of streaming as a measure of an artist’s impact. Crossing the 33 million mark cements “Sete” as one of the country’s biggest digital hits and reinforces K.O’s place among South Africa’s most influential hip hop artists.
As fans continue to stream the record and celebrate its enduring popularity, “Sete” remains a shining example of a song that has transcended charts to become part of South Africa’s musical culture. With another major milestone now secured, K.O’s legacy continues to grow, proving that timeless hits never go out of style.
