Leaders Vipers target redemption in top vs. bottom clash against Buhimba

After relatively two disappointing results against fellow title contenders, Vipers resume hunt for maximum points when they visit Buhimba United Saints at Royal Park Butema on Tuesday.

The Venoms top the standings with a points difference and can’t afford to slip up against a side fighting for their lives.

Jacky Ivan Minnaert charges are aware that dropping more points will invite pressure to the side as they aim to defend their title with chasers KCCA, Kitara and Villa breathing down their neck.

Unbeaten on the pitch, the table leaders will be favourites against the Saints who are now winless in five straight matches after the 2-1 loss to Entebbe UPPC in their last game.

A victory for Vipers will maintain their four-point lead at the summit regardless of the result between Entebbe UPPC and KCCA who face simultaneously in Bugonga but could also widen if the Kasasiro falter.

Vipers were dominant in the reverse fixture winning 4-0 at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende through goals from Milton Karisa (brace), Abubaker Walusimbi and Karim Watambala.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, NEC visit Express in the day’s late kick off, BUL host UPDF, Mbarara City are at home against Maroons, Police lock horns with URA and Entebbe UPPC face KCCA.
