Reports reaching the Grenada Informer indicate that a young man of Morne Toute, in the south of the island died by suicide overnight.
The reports say that the subject, Solomon Mitchell who had a history of drug use had been hospitalized recently after being shot. When he recovered and left the hospital, he seemed to have also recovered from drug use and was fine for a while. However, according to information, he experienced a relapse and was observed involved in drug use during the day yesterday.
Last night he climbed onto the roof of his mother’s house in Morne Toute and leapt to the ground, sustaining life threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the General Hospital.
