A man was killed in a shooting incident in Blowing Point, the Royal Anguilla Police Force has confirmed.
Officers were called to the scene on the morning of Friday, 10 July, and secured the area as they began their investigation.
A police spokesperson said in a statement issued at about 8.35am that one adult male had been confirmed deceased. The identity of the victim has not yet be announced.

Police asked members of the public to avoid the area while inquiries continue and urged people not to circulate unverified information on social media.
In a joint statement later the same day, Premier Cora Richardson Hodge and Governor Julia Crouch extended condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the victim.
“At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they come to terms with their loss,” they wrote.
“We recognise that gun crime has a profound impact not only on those directly affected, but also on families, neighbours and communities.
“We are grateful to the police officers, emergency responders and other personnel who attended the scene and responded swiftly this morning.”
