Morgan Jones, a Westchester, NY native, cultivated her gift of dance from an early age and earned her BFA in Theatre from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, where she discovered her passion for directing. She founded FlowerChild Productions, mentoring and training emerging talent for over 20 years and later incorporating it as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving creative youth and young adults.
A 25-year Arts Educator, Morgan has directed productions including The Hair Journey Ballet and From Porn to the Pulpit, choreographed and performed in Shelly Garrett’s Beauty Shop tour, and starred in From Porn to the Pulpit and Side Chicks Anonymous. She has also produced, written, and directed three children’s films and her documentary Bloom: Give It Life.
Morgan currently serves on the board of the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival and is producing her original cabaret, Plain: A New Age Cabaret. Her vision includes opening a Black box theatre to amplify Black playwrights and choreographers. Today, SHEEN Magazine sits down with Morgan Jones to dive into her journey as a visionary director, educator, and founder of FlowerChild Productions, highlighting her artistry, her impact on developing talent, and why the performing arts remain essential in shaping culture, voice, and community today.

As the Owner of FlowerChild Productions Inc., a Director, Producer, Creative Entrepreneur, and Visionary, she has created meaningful spaces for talent to grow and thrive. Her dedication to mentoring and building opportunities for Black creatives continues to shape futures and expand voices that deserve to be heard.
