Oracle Jumps 6?ter 30% Revenue Growth on AI Cloud Demand

Oracle Corp. reported quarterly revenue growth of 30% on Thursday, driven by demand for its artificial intelligence cloud services, sending shares up roughly 6% in premarket trading.

The company’s cloud infrastructure revenue climbed 121% from a year earlier, the standout figure in a quarter shaped by customers racing to secure computing capacity for AI workloads. That business has become the core of Oracle’s pitch to investors as it competes with larger rivals for enterprise cloud spending.

Oracle has spent heavily to expand data center capacity, positioning its infrastructure unit against Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. The results place it among the technology firms reporting AI-fueled cloud gains, following Amazon’s own cloud surge tied to heavy AI spending.

The stock move made Oracle one of the more active names in early trading. Investors have rewarded companies able to show concrete revenue from AI demand rather than projected future gains, and Oracle’s triple-digit infrastructure growth met that test.

Elsewhere in the premarket session, ACV Auctions climbed after announcing a $1.9 billion deal. The wholesale vehicle marketplace was among the day’s other notable movers, drawing attention on the size of the transaction.

Cloud infrastructure has become the battleground for the largest technology providers, each reporting rising capital expenditure to build out capacity. The scale of AI computing demand has pushed suppliers to expand data centers faster than in previous cycles.

Oracle’s next quarterly report will test whether the infrastructure growth rate holds as capacity comes online and competition intensifies.
