Pablo Alborán Cancels 2nd Show Due to Pneumonia: ‘I’m Recovering Little by Little’
The Spanish star provided an update on his health on Wednesday (Aug. 26).

UPDATE (Aug. 26): Pablo Alborán will not be able to perform this weekend at the Festival de la Luz in Boimorto, Spain. The Spanish star, who is recovering from a “severe pneumonia” that forced him to cancel a performance last week in Ciudad Real, remains on bed rest under doctor’s orders.
“Family, I am recovering little by little from pneumonia, but the doctors insist that I continue resting for a few more days. For this reason, and much to my regret, I will not be able to take part in the Festival de la Luz this Sunday, August 30, in Boimorto,” Alborán said in a statement on his Instagram account on Wednesday (Aug. 26).
“The recovery is taking a little longer than I’d like, but it’s on the right track; now it’s a matter of being patient and respecting the necessary timeframes so I can return to 100% and tackle the upcoming projects and concerts with full energy,” he added. “I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and all the affection you’ve been sending my way these past few days.”
Alborán, who is currently on his Global Tour KM0, announced U.S. dates for 2027 this week, kicking off on February 6 in Miami and making stops in cities including New York, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles before concluding on February 21 in Dallas, Texas.
PREVIOUSLY (Aug. 20): Pablo Alborán has been forced to cancel a show he had scheduled this week in Spain after being diagnosed with “severe pneumonia.” The Spanish pop star shared the news with his fans Thursday (Aug. 20) through his social media.
“I have just been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, and on medical advice, I need complete rest for the next few days,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram account. “We are unfortunately forced to cancel the concert scheduled for tomorrow, August 21, in Ciudad Real. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for filling this very special concert, and I hope we can see each other very soon.”

The singer of hits like “Solamente Tú,” “Saturno” and “Te He Echado de Menos” also urged that “this information be handled with care and calmness, avoiding clickbait, misinterpretations or headlines that could cause unnecessary concern” to his loved ones. “It’s just pneumonia,” he emphasized, “and I’ve already started a round of antibiotics that will have me back to normal in no time.”
Billboard Español reached out to a rep for Alborán, who had no further comment.
Alborán is currently in the middle of his KM0 2026 world tour, with his next performance scheduled for Aug. 30 in Boimorto, Spain, at the Festival de la Luz, according to his website. In September, he is set to tour Latin America, starting on the 27th in Costa Rica and including stops in El Salvador, Panama, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
The trek supports his latest album, KM0, a deeply personal 14-track project with four bonus tracks born out of the pain and uncertainty caused by a loved one’s illness, as the artist shared in an interview with Billboard. Released last November, the set was included in Billboard‘s list of the 25 Best Latin Albums of 2025.
