Pan Tèrra: Apple Engineer Turned Artist Says I “Quit My Job”

Pan Tèrra, a compelling Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer who spent the last five years as a software engineer at Apple while developing her music career. After reaching a breaking point between corporate stability and creative fulfillment, she made the decision to leave tech and fully step into music. Her new single “Quit My Job” represents this transition.

Produced by Rob Aragón (Victony, Mr Eazi) and written solely by Pan Tèrra, “Quit My Job” marks the beginning of a new chapter ahead of her debut EP arriving later this year. The atmospheric, dynamic record is driven by an intoxicating bassline and an alt-leaning edge that’s both modern and timeless. Her vocal delivery balances restraint and release, mirroring the song’s emotional tension and desire for freedom. Lyrically, the track explores the pull between security and self-alignment, capturing burnout, transformation, and the decision to choose herself: “If the man is the sickness, it can’t be the cure”

Raised across the UK, Nigeria, Hong Kong, and the United States, Pan Tèrra channels her global upbringing into her self-coined “nomadic soul-pop” sound. She blends psychedelic soul, funk, afro-pop, and theatrical storytelling into music that’s distinct and emotionally rich. A Brown University graduate who double majored in Computer Science and Music, she has steadily built momentum as an independent artist over the past couple years with singles like “Eve” (over 500K streams) and “Godfada.”
