Rescued Haikus
Snowflakes fluttering
In storms like white buterflies
Bringing winter joy
and
Damp, dank and dreary
I lost my Joy in winter
She is grey, still mist
Ghostly amongst trees
Where we walked on mud
Like skaters on an ice rink
Clogging, cloying dirt
My moribund heart
Seeking spirits in the fog
and
My life by the waves
In summertime receding
Like shared memories
and
Blow on those freezing
Fingers covered in woolens
Like someone you love

Today, 8th January is Show And Tell At Work Day. Take in something that is special to you, talk about it, bond with your fellow humans. Take time off from all that accountability, commitment and transparency – withdraw for just a while from all that dehumanising workplace bullshit and be someone who has something going on in their lives.
