Tiger Woods’ License Suspended 5 Years Over DUI Case, Social Media Readies His Uber Account

Tiger Woods’ repercussions for his rollover crash from earlier this year have finally been announced.

The legendary golfer’s driver’s license is suspended for the next five years.

The punishment came together as part of a last-minute plea deal that reduced the original DUI charge to reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful chemical test.

It started with the judge imposing a $1,000 fine for the first charge and a $500 fine for the second, with both carrying a five-year driving ban which will run concurrently.

The judge also warned Tiger, “If you drive for any reason at all, you will be going back to jail.” 

Back in March, Tiger was on Florida’s Jupiter Island where he owns a home, and turned his Range Rover on its side. 

When cops arrived, he told them he was trying to pass a truck, but instead his car clipped the trailer hitch in front of him and tipped over because he was looking down and trying to change the radio station.

But cops didn’t think he was sober, with the report noting he appeared to have “several signs of impairment,” including “sweating profusely,” his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” as well as “extremely dilated.” They added that Woods was “extremely alert and talkative,” but his movements were “lethargic and slow.”

Authorities did a breathalyzer, revealing he had no alcohol in his system, but he refused to do a urine test.

After the body cam footage was released, it immediately went viral as it showed an exhausted Woods cuffed in the back of a squad car and another moment when he trolls around the scene and reveals to the responding officers that he called President Trump.

Woods is a friend of Trump’s and is also dating Vanessa Trump, the president’s former daughter-in-law who was married to Don Jr.

She was present at the hearing, and he reportedly flashed her a smile after signing the plea agreement.

He switched his initial not guilty plea to a no-contest plea after the charges were reduced, with Page Six confirming that the paperwork he signed included a line that read, “I feel it to be in my best interest not to contest the evidence the state would present against me.”
