This year, an Egyptian business topped the list for the first time, Kenya has overtaken Nigeria in the number of companies featured, and more non-tech firms are entering the ranking alongside established fintechs and startups.
South Africa continues to dominate, with 51 of the 130 fastest-growing companies. It is followed by Kenya with 17, Nigeria with 16, Mauritius with 12, and Tunisia — which made its first appearance in the top five — with 6.
