By Zoila Palma: The University of Belize (UB) welcomed the Embassy of El Salvador for a special screening of “Las Aventuras del Cipitío”, giving students an opportunity to explore Salvadoran culture, folklore and traditions through film.
The event formed part of the ongoing partnership between UB’s Regional Language Center (RLC) and the Embassy of El Salvador, which seeks to promote cultural exchange, education and greater understanding between Belizean and Salvadoran communities.
Through the screening, students were introduced to elements of Salvadoran folklore while gaining a deeper appreciation for the cultural traditions and stories that shape the country’s identity.
The University of Belize expressed gratitude to the Embassy of El Salvador for sharing the cultural experience with its students and for its continued collaboration in promoting cultural appreciation and strengthening ties within the university community.
