Wounded Kitara target Calvary scalp for redemption

Wednesday April 22, 2026

  • Lugazi vs SC Villa – Lugazi stadium, Najjembe 4pm
  • Kitara vs Calvary – Royal Park, Butema 4pm

After dropping points in a draw and defeat to Vipers and KCCA respectively, Kitara host bottom of the table Calvary at the Royal Park Butema targeting victory.

The five dropped points have since widened the gap between Kitara and table leaders Vipers to eight and nothing but all points in the home tie against Calvary will keep them in the race.

The Royals will hope forwards George Senkaaba, Patrick Kaddu and new additions Muhammad Shaban and Edson Agondze wear their lethal boots.

Meanwhile, Calvary now believe they can survive drop after a win and draw in their last games against Buhimba United Saints and Lugazi respectively.

It is on this background that they are expected to be determined although Kitara are strong favourites to complete a double after they won the reverse fixture 1-0 in Midigo.

In the other day’s fixture, SC Villa travel to Najjembe to face hosts Lugazi.
