For many families, bringing home a newborn is both exciting and overwhelming. While most of the attention naturally focuses on the baby, mothers are often left struggling with exhaustion, emotional stress, and physical recovery. Alicia Wilson has made it her mission to change that.
As the founder of BabyNguru 24 Newborn Services LLC, Alicia provides postpartum and newborn support designed to care not only for babies, but for the entire family. Her passion for postpartum care grew after witnessing how many mothers felt unsupported during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.

“Everyone celebrates the baby, but not enough attention is given to the mother’s recovery and emotional well-being,” Alicia says. “I wanted to create a safe space where mothers feel cared for, educated, and reassured.”
According to Alicia, sleep deprivation is one of the biggest challenges new parents face. Mothers are also dealing with hormonal changes, anxiety, physical healing, and the pressure to appear as though they have everything under control.
“One common misconception is thinking postpartum recovery only lasts a few weeks,” she explains. “In reality, recovery can take months emotionally, mentally, and physically.”
Alicia believes support systems are critical during this stage, especially from fathers and partners.
“Fathers can make a huge difference by being emotionally present, patient, and involved,” she says. “Simple things like helping with nighttime care, encouraging rest, and listening without judgment can ease so much stress.”
She also emphasizes that fathers same-sex partners and single parents by choice also need support too because parenthood is a major adjustment for everyone involved.
At the core of Alicia Wilson’s work is creating a judgment-free environment where families feel heard and supported. Through BabyNguru 24 Newborn Services LLC, she provides postpartum support, newborn care, overnight care, sleep conditioning, feeding guidance, parent education, and live-in day or night care. She also offers online support services, with care plans typically ranging from 10 to 12 hours.
“Our goal is not just caring for the baby, it’s caring for the whole family, especially the mother’s mental and emotional well-being,” Alicia says.
Alicia believes postpartum care has been overlooked for years because society has traditionally focused more on the baby than the mother’s healing process. She hopes continued conversations around postpartum depression, anxiety, and emotional health will encourage more awareness and support.
“I want people to know it’s okay to ask for help, and it’s not a weakness,” she says. “Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also be exhausting and emotional. Every mother deserves support, rest, compassion, and community.”
Alicia’s message to mothers struggling silently is simple: “You are not failing, and you are not alone. Give yourself grace. A supported mother is a stronger mother.”
