From working in a private practice to a role that is now igniting a soul-filling purpose, animal lover Inshaaf Layloo is Mdzananda Animal Clinic’s new Clinic Manager!
Khayelitsha, South Africa (22 May 2026) – Mdzananda Animal Clinic has a new manager, and she’s a big dog and cat lover!
The Khayelitsha-based animal welfare organisation recently welcomed Inshaaf Layloo as its new Clinic Manager.
“Although Inshaaf has only been with us for a few short weeks, she has already integrated so beautifully into the Mdzananda family. Her compassion, dedication and love for both animals and people shine through in everything she does, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our team,” Mdzananda said.
She possesses a strong background in the well-being of animals, having managed a private veterinary practice in her previous position.
“I completed my honours in herpetology and somehow ended up starting part-time as a veterinary receptionist, which turned into me completely finding my place in this field. Life really said ‘plot twist’, and I listened,” Inshaaf shares.
However, as time went by, Inshaaf felt like she needed to do something more meaningful and genuinely soul-filling – and that’s exactly what she’s found at Mdzananda.
Here, her days are filled with working with animals who come from really tough situations, yet still have the purest kind of love.
“With the clinic team, we do our best to give every animal and client the same level of care you would expect in a private practice, even when resources are limited,” she says.
A confessed animal lover and advocate, Inshaff says she can’t really choose between dogs or cats.
“But I am officially a cat mom to Ginger and Zohaan, who fully believe they run my household. If I absolutely had to pick, though, it would still be a big dog, especially a Great Dane. Nothing beats coming home to a gentle giant you can hug.”
Outside of work, Inshaaf loves sunsets and strongly believes in capturing every moment.
“I’m really excited to be part of this journey and to grow alongside the clinic and the patients we care for, one day at a time.”
The Mdzananda team shares Inshaaf’s excitement, looking forward to this new chapter with her.
“We know she is going to make an incredible impact on the lives of so many animals and people in our community.”
