A Brixton BID initiative, Brixton Performs is a wide-ranging series of music and comedy events taking place across a variety of Brixton’s best-loved venues throughout the week.
Wed 22 April | 7pm til late Jim Sharp at Chip Shop Brixton
London DJ and music producer Jim Sharp — formerly known as J.Bold — brings his signature sound to Chip Shop Brixton. Sharp first made his mark with The Transatlantic Accent EP on Championship Vinyl, named Hip Hop Single of the Month by DJ Magazine.
His musical journey has taken him from hip hop roots to club-focused sounds, with releases on T&A Records and remix credits for artists including Talib Kweli, Wiley, and Sway.

Brixton born and raised, DJ Pete Mello returns home to deliver an All Things Soulful set at Clover’s. Expect a warm, heartfelt celebration of soul music from one of the area’s own.

Sun 26 April | 3.30pm Sedric Perry — Live at Brixton Village Courtyard
Accompanied by guitarist Joe Chiari for this intimate acoustic gig, Berlin-based artist Sedric Perry is the Brixton Village Courtyard’s very special Sunday afternoon guest.
Hailing originally from Philadelphia by way of New York, Sedric traces his soulful sound back to his gospel roots, weaving them into a luminous blend of jazz, R&B and house.
His single “Naked” has surpassed one million streams, and his new project FHAT has drawn praise from Billboard, Complex, and Gay Times Magazine and earned the endorsement of none other than RuPaul, who declared the Perry as “Brilliant.”
