Brixton Police Station to extend front counter opening hours from today

From today (3rd March 2026), Brixton’s police station’s front counter will move to extended opening hours, covering 10am–10pm on Monday to Friday, and 9am–7pm on weekends.

You can also contact the Met Police at any time of day or night in other ways:

  • Emergency: call 999 (24/7).
  • Non-emergency: call 101 or report online.
  • At affected sites: weatherproof phones will be available outside most closing/reduced-hours front counters for direct connection to 999/101 (except Royalty Studios, Church Street, Barking Learning Centre).
  • Video appointments will be offered as an alternative.
  • Local neighbourhood policing teams continue face-to-face engagement via ward bases, street briefings, and community events.
  • Language line services are available through 101 and 999.
