CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) log leaders CAPS United will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table when they take on traditional rivals Highlanders FC in a highly anticipated encounter scheduled for Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

CAPS, also known as “The Green Machine”, have enjoyed a strong run of form this season, as they currently sitting on top of the log with 19 points, one ahead of second place occupiers Hardrock FC.

However, they face a big test against Highlanders who despite an inconsistent start to the campaign, remain a dangerous side in the league.

Highlanders is one of the four teams yet to record a defeat this season in the league, the other three being Dynamos, Scottland and Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Bosso walks into this clash with their tails up, after picking their first win of the season on Wednesday against Chicken whom they beat 3-1.

CAPS United last won at Barbourfields against Highlanders in 2015 and all eyes will be on coach Takesure Chiragwi to break the jinx.

A victory for CAPS United would further strengthen their title credentials, while Highlanders will see the clash as an opportunity to make a statement and reignite their campaign.
