The funding is expected to help improve the allocation of public resources, promote more efficient staffing across government ministries and departments, and support efforts to modernize public sector management.

The project carries a total value of US$9 million, or roughly BZ$18 million, made up of the US$8 million in IDB financing and US$1 million in local counterpart funding, and is to be implemented over a five-year disbursement period.
