The Charlestown Primary School celebrated a proud milestone on July 2, 2026, as 40 students graduated, marking the successful completion of their primary school journey.

Held under the patronage of Ms Corinne Liburd, the ceremony was expertly chaired by Mr. Delison Roper, who warmly welcomed graduates, their families, staff, and guests to the memorable occasion. The graduation was held under the theme, “Excellence: Our Legacy, Our Journey, Our Future!”

Principal Mrs Cheryl Haynes, with the assistance of Deputy Principal Mrs Rivers, presented the CPS Year in Review, highlighting a year of remarkable academic achievement, extracurricular success, and the overall growth of both the graduating class and the school.

Delivering the featured address, Mrs Kerilyn David shared an inspiring message, encouraging graduates to “write boldly, write courageously, and write kindly” as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Representing the Department of Education, Education Officer Mrs Shenella Joseph-Nisbett congratulated the graduates and urged them to remain focused, remember the village of support that helped them along the way, and continue striving for excellence in all they do.

The ceremony reached an emotional high with the valedictory address delivered by Valedictorian Chelcia Lakhram, whose heartfelt reflections celebrated cherished memories, lasting friendships, and the journey shared by the graduating class. Salutatorian Bethia Barry was also recognised for her outstanding accomplishments.
