FAST-growing local quick-service restaurant brand, Chicken House Zimbabwe, has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots football development after donating a consignment of T-shirts to the Total Football Academy Probhora Under 21 squad.
The donation follows the company’s recent sponsorship of the Total Future Stars Under-11 tournament held in March, further cementing a growing partnership between Chicken House and one of Zimbabwe’s most well-structured football academies.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Chicken House Marketing Manager, Lisa Kangara, underscored the company’s dedication to community development through sport, noting that the partnership with Total Football Academy reflects a shared vision for youth empowerment.
“This is only the beginning of what we believe will be a long-term relationship,” said Kangara.
“As a brand, we recognise the importance of giving back to the community, and we have deliberately chosen to work with Total Football Academy because of their professionalism and the strong developmental structures they have put in place for young players.”
Receiving the donation, Total Football Academy Coach, Patrick Mubako, expressed appreciation for the support, describing it as a significant boost to the players’ morale ahead of the new season.
“We are sincerely grateful to Chicken House for this support. Such partnerships play a critical role in the development of grassroots football. We urge more corporates to invest in junior football, as it forms the foundation of the future of the game,” said Mubako.
The sponsorship comes at a pivotal moment as the Probhora Under-21 League is set to kick off tomorrow at Heritage School in Borrowdale.
Total Football Academy will open their campaign with a fixture against Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) in what is expected to be a competitive encounter.
The newly established league has already generated considerable interest within local football circles and is widely regarded as an important platform for talent identification, player development and exposure to scouts.
