A CHINESE national, who has been on the radar of the International Police Organisation (INTERPOL) since 2023, was nabbed at the Robert Mugabe International Airport in Harare.
The suspect, identified as Xu Liyin, is wanted for fraud committed in China.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Xu Liyin in Harare. The suspect was on an INTERPOL Red Notice for a fraud case committed in China in 2023,” said Nyathi.
His arrest follows close cooperation and strong coordination between law enforcement agencies in Zimbabwe, China and INTERPOL.
