Did Jeezy & His Ex-Wife Secretly Agree On This One Thing?

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai are no longer married, but their latest comments reveal they may be following the exact same post-divorce playbook.

Did Jeezy & His Ex-Wife Secretly Agree On This One Thing?

Jeezy may not be getting back with Jeannie Mai, but if you listen closely, they sound like they’re reading from the same relationship handbook these days. And no, this is not one of those “they’re secretly rekindling the romance” rumors. At least not yet.

The Snowman recently stopped by TODAY and revealed that he’s currently “dating” someone very important: himself.

After a highly publicized divorce from Jeannie Mai that was finalized in 2024, Jeezy says he’s taking a different approach to life and love. Instead of jumping back into the dating pool, he’s spending quality time with the man in the mirror. Every Wednesday, he reportedly gets dressed up, heads out for sushi, orders sake and wine, and enjoys a solo date night.

“I’m dating myself right now and I feel like, as a man, you should always take time to be with yourself,” he explained.

Interestingly enough, his ex feels the same way.

Jeannie Mai has been saying almost the exact same thing.

Following her split from Jeezy, the former TV host has repeatedly talked about “dating herself.” She told PEOPLE that she’s been treating herself to vacations, experiences, and quality time with family and friends. Whether it was a spontaneous trip to Hawaii, flying out her girlfriends, or taking 16 family members to Disney World for Christmas, Mai says she’s focused on celebrating herself and the people she loves.

“I’ve just been taking myself out,” she said.

See what happened here?

Somehow both Jeezy and Jeannie landed in the same emotional neighborhood. Instead of dating new people publicly, they’re both investing in themselves.

That’s either a remarkable coincidence or proof that they learned more from each other than anyone realized.

Last year, Jeezy also told The Breakfast Club that he and Mai had reached a place of understanding. He made it clear he wasn’t interested in enemies, drama, or lingering hostility.

“I just want peace, I just want joy and I just want freedom.”

Maybe that’s the real story here. Not reconciliation. Not romance. Just two people who went through a difficult breakup and somehow arrived at a similar conclusion: before you love somebody else, make sure you actually enjoy spending time with yourself.
