Flow Jones Jr. Reveals DJ Sliqe’s Career Advice That Changed His Approach To Rap. Flow Jones Jr. has opened up about one of the most important pieces of career advice he has received from DJ Sliqe, crediting the veteran producer and DJ with encouraging him to embrace Venac in his music.

Reflecting on the advice, Flow Jones Jr. said DJ Sliqe was the person who pushed him to make the switch from rapping primarily in English to Venac. “He’s the one who encouraged me to go from rapping in English to Venac,” he explained, describing the moment as the best career advice Sliqe has given him.

According to Flow Jones Jr., listeners had already been encouraging him to experiment with Venac, but he initially dismissed the suggestions. While people would praise his music, they would often tell him it would be even better if he performed in Venac.

At the time, however, the rapper was not convinced.

“I’d be like, Man, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Flow Jones Jr. recalled.

That changed when he finally got into the studio with DJ Sliqe. Rather than simply echoing what fans had been saying, Sliqe gave him a direct challenge: trust the process and go Venac.

“When I finally got into the studio with him and he was like, ‘Yo, trust me, bro, go Venac,’” he recalled.

The first song Flow Jones Jr. recorded with DJ Sliqe after receiving that push was “Sta-Soft”, a collaboration that gave him the opportunity to see the advice play out in real time.

“And the first song I did with DJ Sliqe was ‘Sta-Soft’. You know, it was crazy. So it was good to see it in real time,” he said.

For Flow Jones Jr., the experience ultimately proved that Sliqe’s advice was more than just a suggestion. It helped him explore a different side of his artistry and showed him the potential of connecting with listeners through a language they had been asking him to embrace. Looking back, Flow Jones Jr. considers that moment one of the defining pieces of career guidance he has received from DJ Sliqe.
