FS MEC Jabu Mbalula mourns deaths of 4, including police officer
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning in Hennenman
Free State MEC for Community Safety, Roads and Transport, Jabu Mbalula has expressed sadness about the deaths of four people including a 47-year-old police officer. The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning in Hennenman, where the police officer allegedly went looking for his girlfriend at a family gathering.
It is reported that when he could not find her the officer became angry, and allegedly shot five people, killing three and later shot and killed himself.
Mbalula appealed to members of the police to seek help whenever in need and not take the law into their own hands.
The MEC has extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
