Galen University, Transparent BPO partner with Corazon Creek Technical High School to expand higher education and employment opportunities

By Zoila Palma: Representatives from Galen University and Transparent BPO visited Corazon Creek Technical High School (CCTHS) on Monday, August 3, to advance a new initiative aimed at expanding access to higher education and employment opportunities for students in Corazon Creek and neighboring communities.

The partnership will allow the first cohort of Galen University students to begin classes during the upcoming fall semester while working at Transparent BPO, which will operate from the CCTHS campus.

The program is designed to enable students to earn an income, gain valuable professional experience, and pursue their university education at the same time.

Representing Galen University during the visit were Dr. Cynthia Eve Aird, Provost, and Hiram Ochaeta, Director of Digital Strategy and Strategic Management. Transparent BPO was represented by Angie Westby, Human Resources Business Partner, and Abraham Middleton, Vice President of Network Infrastructure.

The initiative reflects a collaborative effort to create new educational and career pathways for young people in southern Belize, helping to reduce barriers to higher education while preparing students for the workforce through practical experience.

Galen University said it looks forward to strengthening its partnership with Corazon Creek Technical High School under the leadership of Board of Management Chairman Justo Veliz Jr., as the institutions work together to provide students with greater opportunities for academic and professional success.
