Johnson Ssenyonga has signed an employment contract with Somalia top flight football entity; Jeenyo Football Club.
Christened as “Mbappe” after the current French national team captain, Kylian Mbappe, Ssenyonga boosts the Somalian club at a crucial timing.

The 24-year-old Ugandan brings urgency, directness and speed to the flanks of Jeenyo as they target the 2026 national football league title.
He is a known player for his ability to take on the opposition, dribble at free-will, execute crosses and shoot at all ranges.

Ssenyonga has previously featured at Bulemeezi Ssaza, Kakooge Town Council, Jinja North United and Uganda’s 17-time record league winners Sports Club Villa.
Somalia has of late become a hub for many Ugandan footballers given the fast improving security situation in this horn of Africa country and the professionalization of their national league where a number of players earn a fortune for a living.
