Former Vashon High basketball standout Kennard “Moo” Davis Jr. is returning to his home state to continue his college basketball career at the University of Missouri.

The 6’6′ Davis announced his transfer to Mizzou on Friday via his social media accounts. He played this past season at Brigham Young University.

As a junior at BYU, Davis averaged 8.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in 29 minutes, helping the Cougars to a berth in the NCAA Tournament. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Southern Illinois. As a sophomore, he averaged 16.3 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range. He earned All-Missouri Valley Conference postseason honors.

Davis was a three-year starter at Vashon, where he led the Wolverines to three consecutive Class 4 state championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
