Backing Brum Talent: Senti Films and Kudos join forces
Kudos (part of Banijay UK), the leading producer behind world-renowned shows including Peaky Blinders, House of Gucci, and SAS: Rogue Heroes, is further investing in its ambitions for a thriving West Midlands scripted production hub by backing Senti Films, the production company founded by Birmingham-based writer, producer, and director Rem Conway.
Kudos already has an established West Midlands base with Kudos Knight, the creative partnership launched in 2022 with preeminent writer Steven Knight, which Conway joined in 2023 as Development Producer. Kudos Knight, behind Knight’s RTS Best Drama-winning series This Town, was established to generate a thriving drama production pipeline from the West Midlands, nurture local talent, and invest in skills and training for the region.
Rem Conway has been developing his own slate for TV, film, theatre, and digital for several years, championing underrepresented and local voices. This new deal will accelerate the growth of Senti Films and see Kudos co-produce green-lit scripted projects with the company. Rem will continue in his role at Kudos Knight while developing his own projects under Senti Films.

We see Rem’s work with Senti as complementary to the ambitions of Kudos Knight and a positive development for the creative industries in the West Midlands. Rem Conway added: “I’m ridiculously excited about this partnership. Senti was built to offer a creative home to talent where they are genuinely trusted, backed, and given the freedom to be ambitious. Too often, I’ve witnessed incredible voices held back by a lack of access and long-term support, and we all so desperately want to see a more inclusive industry. Senti Films exists to actively push that change forward. Having Kudos on board is a huge vote of confidence, giving us the backing to think bigger, move faster, grow our slate, and build something bold that can innovate the mainstream, and the cherry on the cake is that it’ll all be done from Brum!”
Senti Films already has a project in funded development with a major broadcaster, with other ideas gaining early traction.
A Birmingham native, Rem began his career in theatre production before transitioning to film and TV. A writer, producer, and director, his credits prior to joining Kudos Knight include Netflix’s Sex Education, BBC’s My Name is Leon, ITV’s Our House, and ITV/Amazon’s Riches.
