Mariental residents will be without electricity for 10 hours on Sunday to enable the Namibia Power Corporation to conduct maintenance on all high-voltage equipment.
In a notice seen by The Namibian, the Mariental Municipality says the outage will affect the entire town from 07h00 to 17h00.
“Residents and businesses are urged to make the necessary preparations ahead of the planned interruption,” reads the notice.
The municipality also warns that power supply must be treated as live throughout the outage, as electricity may be switched on without prior notice.
