Milwaukee Rappers Shot Dead During Argument Over Gun In Studio

Lil Sheisty and his mentor, Funny $Money, were gunned down inside a Milwaukee recording studio after a dispute over a stolen firearm spiraled into tragedy.

The incident happened on August 17, 2026, when 28-year-old Kelven Harris showed up at the studio, and things escalated quickly.

Harris told investigators that 21-year-old Lil Sheisty snatched his 9mm handgun right out of his waistband during an argument about a family disagreement, then refused to return it.

When Harris tried to retrieve his weapon, the situation turned violent.

According to Harris’ account to police, he and Lil Sheisty got into a physical altercation that included a headbutt, and that’s when Harris grabbed a different gun off the counter and opened fire.

He said he shot Lil Sheisty because he believed the rapper was about to shoot him.

When 33-year-old Funny $Money tried to grab another firearm from the counter, Harris shot him too as he was trying to escape.

Harris immediately called 911 and confessed to the shooting, telling the dispatcher, “I’m not gonna lie from this, I did something because somebody took my gun off of me, and I was trying to get it back when I had to snatch another gun, and I ended up killing somebody.”

Police recovered eight bullet casings from the scene, all fired from the same weapon.

Both victims were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside the studio at 4919 N. 31st Street. Harris later told officers where he’d tossed the murder weapon, and investigators recovered a Glock .40 caliber handgun from the river that ballistics confirmed matched all the casings found at the crime scene.

Lil Sheisty was found lying on top of a Draco semi-automatic handgun, and two additional firearms were discovered on his person, though Funny $Money was unarmed.

According to Fox6 Now, Harris now faces two counts of first-degree reckless homicide by use of a dangerous weapon.

The charges carry serious weight in Wisconsin’s criminal justice system.

First-degree reckless homicide is classified as a Class B felony, which means if Harris is convicted on both counts, he’s looking at up to 60 years per count, totaling a potential 120 years in prison.

That’s effectively a life sentence for the rising rappers’ deaths.
