Mnangagwa reshuffles cabinet, demotes Information Minister Muswere

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has effected a cabinet reshuffle, re-assigning several ministers with immediate effect, demoting Information Minister Jenfan Muswere to the Skills Audit ministry.

The announcement was made by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Misheck Rushwaya, in a statement Wednesday, who said Muswere will be replaced by Minister Soda Zhemu, who will be moving from the National Housing Ministry.

Minister Paul Mavima will be moving from the Skills Audit Ministry to the  National Housing Ministry.

“In terms of Section 104, Subsection (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, His Excellency the President, Cde. Dr. Emmersor Dambudzo Mnangagwa has re-assigned the under-listed Ministers as follows:

“Hon. Dr. Jenfan Muswere: Minister of Skills Audit and Development Hon. Prof. Paul Mavima.

“Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities Hon. Dr. Zhemu Soda: Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.

“The re-assignments are with immediate effect,” Rushwaya said.

No reasons were given for the mini cabinet reshuffle.
