Moving with Faith Through Music: Proph3ci

In a world where technology is reshaping the music industry, Proph3ci is bringing together innovation, faith, and inspiration. Created by songwriter Lara Kent, the AI artist delivers messages of hope, healing, and perseverance through Christian R&B and inspirational music. In this interview, Lara shares the story behind Proph3ci, her creative journey, and the mission to encourage listeners through life’s most challenging seasons.

Lara, for those that are just hearing about you for the first time. Please introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Lara Kent and I’m the creator of Proph3ci, and I am a Christian R&B and inspirational artist whose mission is to encourage, uplift, and remind people that they are never alone.

My music is inspired by real life experiences, including overcoming breast cancer, navigating grief and heartbreak, facing mental health struggles, and discovering God’s purpose through difficult seasons.  I believe that every setback can become a testimony, and I use my music to share messages of faith, healing, hope, and perseverance.

When did you first begin writing music, and what inspired you to become a songwriter?

I’ve always found comfort in music, and I used to write songs back in the day for my cousin who is a music producer. Then I got busy raising my family and songwriting went on the back burner. However, 2025 was one of the hardest years of my life and I decided to pick up my pen again to help me get through my rough times. It was very therapeutic for me. Writing allowed me to process pain, ask questions, find hope, and strengthen my relationship with God. What inspired me most was realizing that my story wasn’t just for me, it  could help someone else who was struggling. Music became a way to turn my testimony into something that could encourage others to keep going.

Tell us about Proph3ci. How did the idea come about, and what role do you play in the creative process?

After I started writing and creating music in Suno, then I thought about how I wanted to present my music to the world. Proph3ci was born from a desire to combine creativity, technology, and faith to reach people in new ways. The name reflects the idea of speaking life, hope, and purpose into situations that may seem hopeless. Every song starts with a real emotion, experience, or lesson that I want to share. AI helps bring those ideas to life, but the heart, purpose, and message come from me.

What has the response been like since launching an AI artist, and how do you handle criticism or negativity surrounding AI-generated music?

The response has been overwhelmingly positive. I’ve connected with listeners from all over the world who relate to the messages in my music. Of course, there are people who are skeptical of AI-generated music, and I understand their concerns. Technology often creates questions and challenges when it’s new. I try not to focus on negativity. Instead, I focus on the people who have been encouraged, inspired, or comforted by the music. At the end of the day, if a song helps someone through depression, grief, anxiety, or a difficult season, then it has served its purpose.

Do you believe AI artists and AI-assisted music will continue to grow in the future? Why or why not?

Absolutely. Throughout history, technology has changed the way music is created, recorded, and distributed. AI is simply another tool in that evolution. I believe AI-assisted music will continue to grow because it allows more people to express themselves creatively and share their stories. However, I also believe authenticity will always matter. The technology may help create the sound, but the message, emotion, and connection still come from the creator behind it.

What do you hope listeners take away from your music beyond the conversation about AI?

More than anything, I want people to leave with hope. I want them to know that difficult seasons don’t last forever, that healing is possible, and that God has a purpose for their lives even when circumstances seem impossible. Whether I’m singing about grief, mental health, faith, heartbreak, or overcoming obstacles, my goal is to remind listeners that they are stronger than they think and that God is still working behind the scenes.

What’s next for you and Proph3ci?

I’m continuing to release music that tells real stories and inspires people to keep moving forward. I’m also working on new projects centered around overcoming adversity, living in faith, and sharing messages of hope through both music and community engagement. My goal is to keep building a space where people feel encouraged, supported, and reminded that their story isn’t over. The best is yet to come, and I’m excited to see where God leads this journey next.

It was a please speaking with you. We are excited as well for what’s next.
