Police searching for Bajan in drug shipping investigation

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Barbadian national who is wanted in connection with alleged drug offences.

The Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of 37-year-old Thorrold Akeem Murray. The First District Court of Castries issued two warrants for his arrest following an incident on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

According to police, the warrants relate to alleged serious violations under the Drug Prevention of Misuse Act, Chapter 3.02 (Revised Laws of Saint Lucia 2022). The charges stem from an incident at the FedEx main branch in Vide Bouteille, Castries.

Murray is wanted for Possession of a Controlled Drug, contrary to Section 8(2), in relation to cocaine. He is also wanted for Attempted Export of a Controlled Drug, contrary to Sections 29 and 5(1)(b), for the attempted export of cocaine.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding Murray’s whereabouts to contact the Drug Unit at 456-3982, located on La Toc Road, Castries, or the nearest police station.
