Multihyphenate artist Riovaz releases his latest track, “bleed belief,” a fast-paced, dance-driven offering elevated by his emotive vocals and a hypnotic, dreamlike energy. In the video directed by Jix, Rio is drawn to a mysterious light striking down through a dark, snow-covered forest. As he approaches, he discovers an otherworldly girl—fragile, luminous, and seemingly not from this world. Surrounded by a sky full of stars, he brings her to safety. The visual captures this external experience, while the lyrics offer a deeper emotional lens into the push and pull of a fleeting connection. One that feels intense and real in the moment, yet fragile enough to disappear without warning. He sings, “Is this the life I want, is this the girl I need, baby watch me bleed.” At its core, the track explores the feeling of finding safety in another person while still navigating one’s own path.
“bleed belief” follows “IKYTO,” released in January. A pop-forward track driven by propulsive drum-and-bass rhythms, it finds Riovaz unapologetically assured in love. Produced by Frankie Scoca (NewJeans, The Kid LAROI, Kanii), the track continues Riovaz’s boundary-pushing evolution, further underscoring his versatility. As an independent artist, these recent tracks mark the beginning of Rio’s next chapter, capturing his evolution as a young creative. In 2024, he released his self-titled debut album Riovaz, an expansive project exploring relationships, vulnerability, and growth, balancing infectious club energy with moments of introspection and emotional clarity. He continued building momentum with subsequent releases like “wasted” and “everybody’s gone,” further sharpening his sound and perspective.
Staying true to his fluid approach, Rio has also collaborated across the pop, dance, and electronic space, joining Cafuné on “Temporary Lover,” working with producers and DJs Chris Lake and Knock2, and teaming up with Kanii and Nimstarr for The Heart Racers EP in 2024—where the video for “Heart Racing” has since racked up nearly 10 million views. with their video for “” amassing nearly 10 million views. Beyond the music, Rio has cultivated a rapidly growing fanbase amassing over 2 million monthly listeners and taking his sound on the road with sold-out, high-energy shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Austin.
Riovaz first gained momentum with his breakout single “Prom Night,” now certified platinum, introducing his genre-blurring sound to a wider audience. He followed with his debut EP, Disturb The Norm (2023), which was praised as “instantly catchy” (Our Generation) and “cathartic dance perfection” (Ones To Watch). The project earned him a spot on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list, and he soon brought it to life on the RIORAVE Tour—selling out U.S. dates, performing overseas, and appearing at major festivals. Following RIORAVE, he continued to build momentum with standout releases including the glitchy “Crying at the Orgy,” the angsty “The Rake (Can’t Complain),” which gained traction on TikTok, and “Waiting Alone.” With an ability to effortlessly move between sounds, Riovaz continues to refine his sound, and what comes next promises to be even more exciting.
