The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2026 inductees — and Sade, Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, and The Isley Brothers headline this year’s list, representing decades of influence across soul, R&B, rock, and funk. They join fellow 2026 inductees Dave Matthews Band, Oasis, Daft Punk, The B-52s, and Los Lobos.
Several high-profile Black nominees didn’t make the final cut this year. Mariah Carey, who has shaped pop and R&B for more than three decades, was among the most talked-about omissions. Other Black nominees left out include Chaka Khan, Eric B. & Rakim, and Slick Rick.
