San Bernardino Fatherhood will hold annual Daddy Daughter Dance
This year's event is March 14 at the National Orange Show Event Center.
San Bernardino Fatherhood will hold its ninth annual Daddy Daughter Dance 4:30-8 p.m. March 14 in the Renaissance Room at the National Orange Show Event Center, 686 S. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino.
The Daddy Daughter Dance is designed for fathers or father figures, with their daughters or daughter figures who are age 5 and older.
Theme of this year’s event is “Fathers Loving Daughters,” and there will be a formal, voluntary ceremony in which fathers commit to loving their daughters by expressing encouragement, affirming their value and making a pledge to support and guide them, according to a news release.
In return, daughters will commit to honoring their fathers by demonstrating respect, appreciation and gratitude.
In addition to music and dancing, the event will include food and a photo booth.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the importance of a positive relationship between fathers and their daughters and to provide a supportive environment for strengthening the bond between fathers and daughters, according to the news release.
The Daddy Daughter Dance is open to the public, and registration is available at eventbrite.com. Advance tickets are $16 per person. Tickets at the door are $20, and there is no charge for children younger than 5.
