Among those present were members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the Saint Lucia Fire Service, and other agencies.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr Mashama Sealy officiated at two polling stations on site.
“We started on time this morning at 6:30. The polling stations opened and so far we are moving along smoothly,” she said in a mid-process interview. “The lines are moving quickly, especially for one particular polling station, because they do not have as many voters on that poll.”
The process was relatively quiet, with minimal complaints from both voters and presiding officers.
