Uganda U17 Women’s Football National Team, the Teen Cranes got eliminated from the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, falling to neighbors Kenya.

The two legs at the second qualifying round ended in draws including but Kenya progressed due to away goals rule.

Today’s encounter at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi ended goalless. This meant Kenya advanced 1-1 on aggregate, a result they got from the reverse fixture at Kadiba.

Coach Sheryl Botes Ulanda has had a torrid period since taking charge of the Uganda Women national teams two years ago and there has not been substantial progress made.

Last month, the U20 Women’s National Team got eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers by Ghana.

The Crested Cranes (Senior Team) has equally not performed well under her reign.

With about four months to the end of her current contract, it is not clear whether FUFA will extend her stay.
