By Breaking Belize News Staff: Two Belize City construction workers appeared in court on Wednesday on separate charges connected to the theft of a bicycle valued at $400.
Jeffery Fitzgerald McDougal, 37, of King Street, was charged with theft of a 26-inch beach cruiser bicycle.
Alton Dave Nicholas, 34, of Holy Emmanuel Street, was charged with handling stolen goods in connection with the same bicycle.
Both men appeared before a Senior Magistrate in Court #5, where they pleaded not guilty to their respective charges.
Police allege that McDougal stole the bicycle, while Nicholas was later allegedly found in possession of it.
Both men were offered bail in the sum of $400 each.
Their case was adjourned to September 2, 2026.
