Police are investigating an aggravated burglary at an Airbnb apartment in Trouya, Gros Islet, after two non-nationals were robbed during the early hours of Wednesday, December 17.
According to police, two masked men armed with knives entered the apartment around 1:00 a.m. The occupants, two females, were robbed of valuables, including jewellery and cash.
Police said a struggle broke out during the incident, leaving one of the occupants with multiple lacerations.
The matter was reported to officers at the Gros Islet Police Station shortly after 2:00 a.m.
The Gros Islet Fire Service was also summoned to the scene, and both victims were taken to the Owen King EU Hospital for treatment. They have since been discharged and are assisting with ongoing investigations, police said.
