UCLA Athletics To Unveil Jackie Robinson Day-Themed Uniforms On Monday April 13th

Jackie’s eldest granddaughter, Sonya Pankey, EVP of Brand Development for The Jackie Robinson Estate, will be on site to present the jerseys. The unveiling will take place at UCLA, Jackie’s Alma Mater, on Monday, April 13th from 2-3 PM. Jackie Robinson Day is April 15th, which honors the day in 1947 when he broke the color barrier as the first Black baseball player in the MLB. On this day (April 15), across the country, all MLB players, managers, coaches, and umpires wear the number 42 to honor his legacy.
