UTC Global Balanced Fund Limited (UTC GBFL) is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Saint Lucia Kings as an Official Sponsor and Partner for the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season. The partnership marks the third consecutive year that UTC GBFL will stand alongside the Saint Lucia Kings, reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence, performance, teamwork and building a stronger future.

The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared belief in the power of opportunity, on the cricket field and in the financial lives of individuals across the region. Through its partnership with the Kings, UTC GBFL continues to connect with fans while encouraging greater awareness of the importance of investing for the future.

The renewal was officially marked at the event, An Exclusive Evening with UTC GBFL & The Saint Lucia Kings, held on Thursday August 13, 2026, at the Harbor Club in Saint Lucia. The event brought together notable attendees including The Honourable John Paul Estephane, Minister in the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage, Her Excellency Leiff Escalona, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Saint Lucia, Mr. Omar Burch-Smith, Head, UTC GBFL, and Mr. Gregory Fisher, Managing Director, Jefferies. Representatives of the Saint Lucia Kings, members of the Saint Lucia business community and specially invited guests were also in attendance.

The Saint Lucia Kings will once again represent Saint Lucia on the region’s biggest T20 cricket stage, while UTC GBFL will use the CPL platform to connect with fans and promote greater awareness of the opportunities available through investing.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with UTC GBFL for a third consecutive CPL season,” said Daren Sammy, Coach of the Saint Lucia Kings and UTC GBFL Brand Ambassador. “For us, this partnership is about more than cricket. It is about connecting with people, building relationships and encouraging individuals to take that first step towards investing in their future. Cricket teaches us to play the long game, make smart decisions and take advantage of opportunities when they come and investing is no different.”
Throughout the 2026 CPL season, UTC GBFL will engage fans through a series of promotions and activities designed to combine the excitement of cricket with the importance of financial investment.
The partnership also supports UTC GBFL’s continued growth across the Eastern Caribbean, where the Fund is available in Saint Lucia, Antigua, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis and Dominica. Since its launch in 2023, UTC GBFL has provided individuals across the region with access to a diversified investment option, supporting investors as they work towards their financial goals.
For UTC GBFL, the connection between cricket and investing is clear: every innings presents an opportunity, and every investment can be a step towards a stronger financial future.
“This partnership goes beyond our shared passion for cricket. It reflects our commitment to the people of Saint Lucia and the wider Eastern Caribbean, and to helping individuals build stronger financial futures,” said Nigel Edwards, Director, UTC GBFL and Executive Director, Unit Trust Corporation. “As the Kings take the field this season, we encourage fans to invest in their own future and, like the Kings, make every innings count.”
With another exciting CPL season ahead, UTC GBFL is proud to stand alongside the Saint Lucia Kings as they represent Saint Lucia on the regional stage. The partnership also reflects UTC’s broader commitment to Caribbean cricket, with the Unit Trust Corporation also continuing its support of the Trinbago Knight Riders, reinforcing its belief in the power of sport to unite communities, while creating opportunities to connect with people across the region.
