Vipers have a chance to move seven points clear of second placed SC Villa when they host Entebbe UPPC at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on Sunday.
This follows KCCA’s slip up in their fixture against Calvary at Midigo which left them on 51 points.
Villa and Kitara won their respective matches to join the Kasasiro on same points but four behind champions and table leaders Vipers who have a game in hand.
Jacky Ivan Minnaert will hope his side capitalise on the slip up and beat a stubborn Entebbe UPPC side that on a good day, can beat anyone.
Enock Ssebagala returns after serving a one match ban due to accumulation of bookings but Taddeo Lwanga (injury) and Chukwuma Odili (illness) remain doubtful.
However, Vipers still have a lot in their armory to win against Abdallah Mubiru’s side who have had a tough second round of the season so far.
The visitors will rely on striker Ambrose Kigozi for goals with Steven Mungunchi, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Abraham Tusubira and Laban Tibita among others running the show behind him.
The Printers are on 40 points in sixth position and a win will lift them above Police who lost to Maroons on Saturday.
The reverse fixture ended in a 1-0 win for the Venoms through Karim Watambala second half goal.
