We Are Many at Bricks: line-up details for this popular Wednesday night free live music event, Feb – May 2026

Brixton’s free weekly live music night, We Are Many (held at The Bricks bar on Coldharbour Lane, SW9), is easily one of the best free nights out in Brixton, and they’ve announced their listings up to May 2026.

Since Nov 2024, the organisers have put on an eclectic programme of live bands followed by a live jam session supported by a rotating line up of local DJs.

The night is run and curated by Idris Rahman from legendary Brixton based band Soothsayers and co leader Robin Hopcraft .

Taking place every Wednesday between 8.30pm and 1am , the event has steadily grown in popularity by showcasing numerous cutting edge bands bringing a world of diverse styles to the table.

The music policy is open facilitating many memorable nights including live grime with local MCs and instrumentalists, Brixton spiritual reggae veterans Abaksush , Moroccan Gnawa fusion from Arfoud Brothers and Sisters and many more.

The organisers told Brixton Buzz:

The audience feels its ready for anything, and the beauty of the event is that it lives up to the philosophy that the best live performance includes a generous feeling of freedom and sonic risk taking.

That spirit feeds the jam session , following the band performance , and provides an opportunity for a broad cross section of instrumentalists and singers to express themselves in spontaneous music creation.

The audience for the night is diverse reflecting the best things about living in a city like London.

Not only will you see all races, there is also a refreshing feeling of community in the room , enhanced by a very noticeable multi generational demographic meaning the jam often features 18yr olds alongside elders who’ve been part of the Brixton and London live music scene for decades and everything in between.

Tapping into the energy and enthusiasm of local youth musicians is key to the nights success and made possible by Soothsayers long term commitment to community engagement, particularly via Youthayers , a free of charge local youth music making programme they’ve run for nearly 10 years.
