What To Watch In Cinemas April 2026

April’s heading into cinemas with big stories, iconic names, and plenty of heart and we are here for it!

Highlights include Michael, following Michael Jackson’s rise from the Jackson 5 to global superstardom. Mother Mary sees Michaela Coel take on a bold story about fame, desire, and obsession. And for romance, You, Me & Tuscany brings Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey together as love and chaos unfold in Italy.

Super Mario Galaxy – Wednesday 1st April – In Cinemas (Universal)

During the Star Festival, Bowser attacks and abducts Princess Peach, sending Mario into space. Guided by Rosalina, he journeys across the universe collecting Power Stars to restore her observatory. After rescuing Peach and defeating Bowser, a black hole threatens everything. The Lumas sacrifice themselves to save the universe, which is reborn, restoring peace to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Voice cast includes Donald Glover, Issa Rae and Keegan-Michael Key.

A free-spirited, young cook named Anna makes a brash decision to become a squatter in an abandoned Tuscan villa owned by a man she barely knows, leading to a whole new world of adventure, lies, and love when she meets Michael, the homeowner’s cousin.

Father Mother Sister Brother – Friday 10th April (Mubi)
