The incident occurred at about 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Anse La Raye. According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Shardell Deterville of Mole Street, Anse La Raye.
Deterville sustained multiple gunshot injuries during the attack. He was rushed to the Owen King EU Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 12:37 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
Police have since held one individual who is assisting with their investigation.
