Bank of Nevis Reaffirms Commitment to Culture with Sponsorship of Nevis Culturama

Charlestown, Nevis – The Bank of Nevis has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the cultural, social, and economic advancement of the Federation through its sponsorship of Nevis Culturama, one of the nation’s premier cultural festivals.

During the official Nevis Culturama Media Launch, Senior Manager Monique Pogson formally presented the Bank’s sponsorship contribution, underscoring the institution’s longstanding dedication to supporting initiatives that celebrate the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the people of Nevis.

The contribution was received by Deputy Premier and Minister of Culture, Eric Evelyn, on behalf of the Nevis Culturama Committee and the Government of Nevis.

On the occasion, Bank representatives said their support for Culturama reflects the institution’s philosophy of being more than just a financial institution.

“They don’t call us ‘The People’s Bank’ for no reason,” the Bank stated. “We are proud to invest in the people, traditions, and celebrations that make our community unique. Supporting Nevis Culturama is part of our broader commitment to fostering cultural pride while contributing to the social and economic wellbeing of our Federation.”

Nevis Culturama has grown into one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated festivals, showcasing the island’s music, dance, folklore, cuisine, and creativity while attracting visitors from across the region and beyond. The festival also serves as an important economic driver, creating opportunities for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and cultural practitioners.

The Bank of Nevis expressed its best wishes to the organisers and participants of this year’s festival and reaffirmed its pledge to continue partnering with initiatives that enrich citizens’ lives and strengthen the fabric of the community.

As “The People’s Bank,” the Bank of Nevis remains steadfast in its mission to empower individuals, support communities, and invest in the future of St. Kitts and Nevis.
