Belize represented at 56th annual meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank

By Zoila Palma:  Belize is being represented at the 56th annual meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank in The Bahamas.

The delegation is led by Osmond Martinez, Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation.

He is accompanied by Carlos Pol, Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Economic Transformation, and Jerdie King, Economist.

While participating in the 56th Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Nassau, Bahamas, Minister Martinez and his delegation held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, and Luiscela Moreno, Director for Latin America and the Caribbean Public Sector at the OPEC Fund.

Discussions included ongoing projects funded by the OPEC Fund, an upcoming site visit to Belize, and opportunities for expanded investment support.

The delegation was also joined by Henry Anderson, CEO of the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), who highlighted the role of the DFC and explored potential partnership opportunities with the OPEC Fund to support Belize’s ongoing development agenda.
